Write for us
We welcome considered contributions that help readers examine a real choice, question or assumption in a clear and usable way.
What to propose
Pitch an original article on everyday reasoning: for example, how to frame a question, compare options fairly, identify an assumption or review a decision. The subject should be useful without specialist credentials, local-rule checking or professional advice.
What makes a strong pitch
Send a working title, a short summary of the central point, the reader's practical takeaway and a note on the sources or examples you expect to use. A focused argument with a concrete next step is stronger than a broad survey or a list of tips.
How to send it
Proposals are sent through the Contact page. Choose the editorial question option and include your pitch in the message. Please send a proposal rather than a finished article unless the idea has been discussed first.
Clear thinking starts with naming the real question
We make ordinary decisions easier to examine by separating what is known, what is assumed and what still needs choosing.
